How come the judges are non-hip hop heads? Doesn't seem to make sense because everyone has different styles. Are they listening to only the cat's beat, can they keep up with metas and punchlines? Do they REALLY know what to look for? Will these judges have a tendency to be BIASED?
Not complaining...just concerned whether the votes will be fair because we have a pretty nice line up, and it seems like it will be competitive too.

we only have two days???
*panics*
in response to TopDollar, i joined the team BECAUSE i'm not a usual listener to hiphop, therefore i will not be biased toward anyone, the rules of judging are pretty simple!
and if it such a problem for you, why didn't you join the judging team?

I am biased. Towards quality. And just 'cause I don't write hip hop doesn't mean I'm not a hip hop headz.

see top just becuase they aren't rappers doesn't mean they don't know quality besides this is about as unbias as it comes and this is also only ONE battle..
I mean why is everyone so afraid to participate??
that is a bit childish to me if that is their only reason..
I would think particpating and doing your thing would be more important than partaking just becuase you expect some rap artist to play a vote in your favor..
I think that is the real reason people dropped out
becuase without their cronies involved they are afraid their lack of talent might be spotted

honestly, i think if you not into hip-hop, and i don't mean listen to it, i mean write it, and actually indulge yaself in it, like us that do write it, and live an everyday life, where hip-hop surrounds you, then i don't really think you gonna be able to listen for, and hear the technical parts of the music. you gotta have a certain ear for hip-hop just like you do with all other genres of music. Maybe i'm wrong, i dunno, it's just my thoughts on top-dollars comment, cause i understand what he's tryin to say in his post, or i think i hit on it pretty well. 1!

For the record to Mr. TopDollar, I play acoustic guitar but I am a hip-hop head and fan of battles. 50 Cent beat Ja Rule (that p***y) and Nas beat Jay-Z.

One thin this tourny is lackin is the enforcement of rules... how long can our verses be? cos i think it's unfair if i do a verse 1:30 & rela does one 3:30... can fit alot more punches in 2 extra mins!
